Specialty & Piano Moving in Queens
Free, No-Obligation Estimate
Fine art, antiques, pool tables, safes, and pianos handled by a crew that does it week in and week out, every piece riding the right board under proper straps and pads.
Specialty & Piano Moving in Queens
Certain pieces call for more than a strong back. Cris takes pianos, safes, slate pool tables, antiques, and fine art all over Queens with the right gear and the patience a valuable piece calls for, and for the tricky ones he is on site himself.
What sets it apart
Weight is one problem and fragility is a separate one, and we arrive equipped for both. An upright or a baby grand, a loaded safe, a slate table, a marble top, or a framed canvas, each gets a board, straps, and pads of its own, and we map the way down the tight pre-war stairwells and through the doorways in advance.
What we specialize in
- Upright and baby-grand pianos
- Safes and heavy equipment
- Slate pool tables and game tables
- Antiques, fine art, and pottery
How we protect it
- Piano boards, dollies, and straps
- Custom crating when it is needed
- Extra padding and corner guards
- Routes planned for stairwells and tight turns
Three Steps to Moving Day
From that very first hello to the final box carried through the door and set down in the right room.
Tell Us About the Move
Walk Cris through the shape of your move over the phone, on a quick video call, or right in the form. Back comes a fair hourly rate or a written flat quote, not a squishy figure that balloons once the truck is loaded.
Lock In Your Date
Claim your day and we set the right crew and truck, then sort the certificate of insurance your co-op or condo board needs, the freight-elevator reservation, and the parking on a tight one-way.
We Carry the Load
Cris handles the entire job himself, wrapping, loading, driving, and placing, and we route the run around the BQE, the LIE, and Northern Boulevard to keep the day on schedule.

Questions We Hear a Lot
Do you take on pianos, gun safes, and the really heavy stuff?
Yes, Cris takes those on all the time. Whether it is an upright or a baby grand, a loaded safe, a slate pool table, a weighty antique, or a framed canvas, each piece travels on the correct board or dolly, strapped and padded, with the path through narrow stairwells and doorways mapped out beforehand.
What will my move cost?
It really comes down to how much you are moving and how tough the building is to get in and out of. Book two movers and a truck and the meter runs from $110/hr, with a written estimate in your hands before we touch a box. Want one fixed figure instead? Cris will give you a flat quote, and that agreed number is the number you pay. Once a move heads across state lines, the math switches to weight and mileage.
My place is a fifth-floor walk-up in a pre-war building. Can you handle it?
That is a lot of what we do. Half of Queens is pre-war walk-ups, and Cris and the crew are used to steep, narrow stairwells, tight landings, and the turns a couch or a dresser barely clears. We measure the stairwell ahead of time, pad the rails and jambs, and carry the heavy pieces down flight by flight, so a five-story walk-up never turns into a problem.
What if a piece gets damaged?
Thorough padding keeps it uncommon, but should a piece get dinged, we flag it on the spot and open the claim that very day. Ahead of the job we compare released coverage against full-value, so you go in knowing precisely how a claim plays out.
Can I move or cancel my date?
Absolutely. Give at least two days’ notice to move or cancel your date and the whole deposit is refunded. Each term sits in your booking in plain language, so nothing gets left to guesswork.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Brisk Movers holds New York licensing and insurance, and Cris works every job through with his own crew, no broker wedged in the middle skimming a cut. Want the coverage specifics? Just ask, and we will walk through your valuation options before anything gets locked in.
